Terms of Service
Last updated: September 7, 2026
These terms apply when you use AfterInspect, at afterinspect.ca. By creating an account, you agree to them. If you're using AfterInspect on behalf of a company, you're confirming you have the authority to agree to these terms for that company.
The service
AfterInspect is software for home inspectors: offline-capable inspection capture, dictation and optional AI-assisted drafting, and branded PDF report generation and delivery.
Accounts
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, and for activity that happens under your account. If you invite teammates, you're responsible for how they use the account, and for removing their access when appropriate.
Subscriptions and billing
New accounts start on a 14-day trial with full features and no card required. Paid plans (Solo and Team) are billed through Stripe. You can cancel any time from your billing page - cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and we don't provide partial-period refunds except where required by law.
Your content
You own the inspection data you create - property details, client and agent information, photos, video, audio, findings and reports. You're responsible for having the right to collect and store any client or property information you enter into AfterInspect. We store and process it on your behalf to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
AI-assisted features
Transcription and AI-structured drafts are assistive tools, not a substitute for your professional judgment. A structured draft is always a suggestion you review, edit or discard - you are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of any report you finalize and deliver to a client.
Report sharing
When you publish a report, AfterInspect generates a link anyone who has it can use to view it until it expires. You control when a report is published and how long its link stays valid - be deliberate about who you send it to.
Acceptable use
Use AfterInspect only for lawful purposes. Don't upload content you don't have the right to store, try to access another account's data, attempt to bypass account or tenant isolation, or reverse-engineer the service.
Availability
We work to keep AfterInspect reliable, but it's provided "as is" and "as available," without a guarantee of uninterrupted service. We may add, change or remove features over time.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, AfterInspect isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Termination
You can stop using AfterInspect and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms. Either way, export your data first from your billing page if you want to keep a copy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of AfterInspect will be heard by the courts of Nova Scotia, and you and AfterInspect each agree to submit to their jurisdiction. Nothing here removes a right you have under consumer protection law in your own province that cannot be waived by agreement.
Changes to these terms
If we make a material change, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above.
